So you have decided to work at home (either by choice or
necessity) and now you are faced with the decision as to whether
to pursue a work at home job or to start a home based business.
That may sound like a minor distinction, but this can pose a
dilemma as the differences can actually be quite significant.
A general psychological characterization of the entrepreneurial
spirit, says they are typically people who have a high energy
level, set long-term goals, feel quite self-confident, and view
money and financial security as a measure of accomplishment and
piece of mind.
They are further characterized as problem solvers, who take
risks, learn from their failures (as well as those of others),
accept personal responsibility, seize the initiative, and use all
available resources to achieve their success.
Entrepreneurs compete with themselves and believe that success or
failure lies within their personal control or influence. They do
not see setbacks as failures, but rather as learning experiences.
Most of all, they exhibit persistence and tenacity, never giving
up and never quitting the quest for success.
If you fit most of these criteria, you would probably elect to
start a home business instead of undertaking a work at home job.
However, the decision to work at home does not necessarily mean
that you want to be the owner of a business. You may prefer
working at home for an already established company. This is
often easier to do than owning a business yourself and you may
not want all the headaches, responsibilities and obligations that
come with owning your own business.
Regardless of which path (job or business) you choose, the first
step is to figure out what business or work-from-home opportunity
you want to pursue. There are many excellent information sources
such as public libraries and Internet sites that list seemingly
countless home business and work at home job opportunities. The
abundance is so great that it might well lead to confusion.
One of the most important factors is often overlooked. This is
your personal inventory. Often this will yield some direction
and focus to the business or job selection process. Assess
yourself and your situation. Write a resume for yourself that
includes your background, education, training as well as any
particular on-the-job skills you possess that could possibly be
used in a venture or job. Also look at your leisure-time
activities and hobbies, because many businesses result from a
person following their “passion.” Ask yourself how much time you
can realistically put into a business venture, given your present
commitments.
Once you have determined the general type of home business or
work at home job that you want to undertake, it is of critical
importance that you do your homework (research) to select the
specific opportunity where you are going to make your
“investment” (some combination of time, effort and money) in
working at home.

Not losing weight but gaining it is why we are faced with an obesity epidemic in children. This is the real problem. Forget weight loss diets, children need a weight gain prevention diet. In fact they need weight gain prevention habits as obesity prevention must begin at home.
Obese parent or parents.
Obese parents are more likely to have obese children. The reason for this is two-fold. First, obese parents probably pass down their poor habits to their children. The closer children are to their parents, the more likely they are to internalize the values and norms that their parents promote or model. Second, genetics plays a role in obesity.
Overeating.
The big problem is that we all enjoy good food. So a diet that deprives children of the joy of eating is not likely to work in the long run. Therefore, the key is to learn them to avoid overeating. Parents must criticize their children’s eating habits when they are young. It’s important to learn children to eat slowly. It takes about 20 minutes for the stomach to signal the brain that it is full and eating slowly will thus help children to eat to satisfaction.
Poor eating habits.
It’s mainly about no parental control over the child’s diet. When it comes to eating, parents need to implement diets rich in fruits, vegetables, and whole-grains. They can make eating enjoyable and healthy by preparing food together and eating together as a family. Skipping breakfast is a poor eating habit too. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day for weight control.
Amount of time spent in sedentary activities.
Today’s children make up the digital generation. They’ve been surrounded by computers their entire life and are not as physically active as children of past generations were. Instead of going outside and playing, they tend to hang out indoors, watching TV and playing computer and video games. the amount of time spent in sedentary activities is a strong predictor of weight gain. According to the recent studies, decreasing the amount of activity by less than four minutes each day can result in a person gaining one pound of fat in a year. Parents can create healthy environments for their children by doing regular physical activities, such as biking, swimming, or walking together. They should allow children to develop an appreciation of physical activity and enjoy exercising, by encouraging them to participate in sports, dance, martial arts, etc.
Convenience of fast food.
Along with lack of physical activity comes the convenience of fast food. Way too often, parents reward children for a job well done with fast food. There are fast food restaurants virtually around every corner, and they have easy access to snack foods full of saturated fats and sugars. It must be the parents’ care that fast food to be limited and reserved for special occasions.

All tour buses, school buses and shuttle buses should have solar power. Why? Well, because they have huge surfaces on the roof to put on solar panels and because the price of solar panels in the solar power industry have come way down in the last 10-years.
It would cost less than $5000 per bus to put on solar panels that could operate most of the electrical needs of the bus. If all buses put solar panels on top then the price of solar panels would come down drastically. There would be more money due to the economies of scale to propel the solar power industry to come up with new inventions and innovations that would help with more research and development to make them even more efficient on top of that.
School buses run lots of lights that warn motorists that kids will be crossing and all these lights could be run from solar power or from solar power assisted batteries. If it was a cloudy week then of course the alternator would run the lights instead, but also consider that school buses sit over the weekend in the yard and can be generating electricity while parked.
Tour buses often have televisions, refrigerators and air-conditioning all of which have electrical needs and for about $10,000 you could set up a very nice solar power system. Shuttle buses, which take people to and from the airport also have lighting needs and hydraulic assisted handicap elevators and other very important electrical needs which could all be run by solar power. The great thing about solar power is that it generates energy whenever the sun is shining and except for the cost to install it, that is free energy. Consider this in 2006.

168 reasons may seem like a daunting list but let me assure you it is much easier than that. There are 168 hours in a week. Now, my point is this, do you know how you are spending those 168 hours weekly?
If you don’t, you’ll find it hard to make the necessary changes to your schedule that will make the difference between mediocre and exceptional…
Starting this week, take a notepad or at least a piece of scratch paper and start taking inventory on your time. How much do you sleep? Groom yourself? Eat? Travel? Play? Do Chores? Work? Socialize?
Keep adding to your list for a week then add up your totals. You may be surprised at what you find.
It is critical to your success and fulfillment that you take your time very seriously. Time is really the one commodity in life you can’t negotiate for very much. You can regain your health, your wealth, often even a lost love, but you can’t recover a single second.
How many times have you wanted to really get your life in gear but said you didn’t have the time? Now you’ll know if you really do or not? If you have hours being wasted on things that don’t serve your goals, can you blame anyone but yourself if you don’t accomplish them?
Honor yourself by learning to honor your time. You’ll be glad you did!

An ancient practice from Eastern Medicine, bowel cleansing is fast becoming the next new diet for the Western world.
What is bowel cleansing and does it safely cause healthy weight loss?
Bowel Cleansing 101
Keeping things simple, bowel cleansing is equal to Western Medicine’s laxative. Practitioners of bowel cleansing will argue that their methods are more effective, natural, and completely unrelated to using laxatives.
My point is this: increasing water content in the large colon acts like a “wash” to empty the bowel lumen.
Some Laxatives and “natural” substances used in bowel cleansing both do exactly this…”washing” the colon by trapping water which evacuates undigested food.
Any claims made beyond trapping water simply have not been rigorously studied and represent opinion and theory, at best.
Methods for bowel cleansing are too numerous to cover in this article. The only comment I’ll make is about the one commonality found in all of them…non-digestible natural substances.
Fiber like substances can be found to some degree in all bowel cleansing methods. Remaining in the bowel (colon) lumen, they trap water increasing the bowel’s water content. This results in increased pressure and tension inside the bowel and results in a large bowel movement consisting of undigested food.
This is what is called “washing” or “cleansing” the bowel.
Bowel Cleansing — A Healthy New Diet Option?
A healthy weight loss method promotes fat loss while preserving muscle tissue and water content. Weight loss by bowel cleansing results primarily from water loss. This is not a healthy method for losing weight and will cause weight gain soon after the cleansing.
I did find a few small studies that showed the opposite results with some bowel cleansing methods. These particular methods do seem to result in healthy weight loss.
Further investigation of this apparent contradiction revealed that the bowel cleansing methods also placed dieters on a high fiber diet.
Diets high in fiber are significantly lower in calories and if gradually implemented will result in healthy weight loss.
Bowel Cleansing — Is it Safe as a New Diet?
Some bowel cleansing methods are safe but others can be dangerous if abused. Critical electrolytes are also lost in the “washing” or “cleansing” process and if repeated too often can lead to disturbances in your nervous system and heart rhythm.
Before you start a new diet, use the new diet Safety Checklist. Make sure it’s safe and won’t cause you harm.
As far as bowel cleansing is concerned, it’s my opinion that you have better options for helping you lose weight.

The Senate voted 66-34 to ban flag burning. Lacking one vote, the bill was rejected. How can this be? Who voted against it? The United States Flag is a symbol of our great Nation. Burning the flag does not fall under free speech.
In order to have free speech, a tongue must move. There are no tongues moving when a flag is being ignited by a butane lighter. This is an action against one of our greatest symbols that our country has. The United States Flag represents where we’ve been as a Nation and where we are going. Men and women have fought and died to protect our flag and what it represents. We do not need mealy-mouth politicians to take the flag and make it some sort of mockery.
The only thing more unpatriotic that burning the American flag is to protect the individual who burns it. The burners should be hauled away for life. The politicians who protect them don’t deserve to stay in office. How would the democrats like if if a person were to burn one of their bills that a person decided they didn’t like? The vandal would be accused of God knows what and hauled away in chains. The flag should be no different.
Freedom of speech does not protect actions. Punching someone in the face is an action, and it’s not protected under free speech. It is a criminal act and you will be punished for assaulting whoever it was you hit. The United States Flag is to be respected and looked upon for it’s symbolism. If you want to bad mouth the country, you have that right. You should not be allowed to desecrate the symbol for freedom. Taking part in any desecration of our Great Symbols are to be looked down upon as true Americans.
The top Presidential Candidates for the Democratic Party all voted against the amendment to ban flag burning. If these are the type of people who are aspiring to reach the highest office in the land, they better get with the real world. Any sane person will not vote for an official who agrees that the desecration of our Country is to be looked upon as a freedom of speech issue. Hillary Clinton is trying to be more mainstream for the moderate voters. Her advisors aren’t doing a real good job. Once again, the democrats continue to alienate the majority of America.

Yorkies are one of the world’s smallest dogs. Although their origins are uncertain, many experts believe they were probably developed by the working men of North England who bred them to catch rats in the mine shafts. They were also used in hunting to penetrate into fox and badger burrows. The first Yorkies were much bigger than the tiny dogs we see today. They were made into a fashion dog by selective breeding throughout the years.
Besides their obvious small size Yorkshire Terriers are eager sweet natured dogs. They are very energetic and adventurous. They are also known to be very intelligent, cunning and stubborn. This explains why they may be hard to house break. Although, most Yorkies are less than 7 lbs, don’t be fooled! This tiny dog can pack a powerful punch. The Yorkie is known to be a great watch dog and may snap is surprised or provoked.
Some Yorkies, like many smaller dogs, are prone to early tooth decay. Feeding them dry food can help keep their teeth strong and healthy. Also, although the “teacup” sizes are all the rage, they are prone to having serious behavior and health problems.
All in all, these tiny characters can catch a mouse, defend a home and be a fashionista all in the same day.

Does all the sugar in candy corn have you wondering whether or not it is good for your kids? In some ways, it just might be. Candy corn could possibly boost thinking skills and improve grades! After letting them eat their fill, have your kids use the candy corn for some math lessons.
On a very basic level, the orange, yellow, and white triangles can help teach colors and shapes. Mix them with some M&M’s for a sorting exercise for little fingers. Have children arrange them together to make new shapes.
Need something a little more challenging? Try using the little candies for board game markers. Candy corn bingo is fun - with the numbers on the grid providing answers to equations and the candies marking the spots. Kids can graph different amounts of candy corn. Making spinners from cardboard with the arrows shaped like candy corn can provide another fun way of working with numbers.
Have you ever noticed that the little pieces - if turned on their sides - look like “greater than” or “less than” signs? Kids may enjoy unequal equations much more if they are using candy for the answers.
And what about some story problems? Tommy has 14 pieces of candy corn. If he steals his sister’s 8 pieces, how many will he have in all? Since the story problem is quite versatile, candy corn is still helpful when the degree of difficulty is stretched a little. Maybe the kids should find the square root of the number of pieces of candy corn that Tommy has. Or maybe Tommy’s stash of candy corn is going to grow exponentially over the entire month of October! Lucky Tommy.
How much does each individual piece of candy corn cost? That is a great math/life question. Which store offers the best price? Try weighing the candy corn - or maybe try weighing the children after they have eaten a few bags of it!
An enormous jar full of candy corn provides a great guessing/estimating game. And the jar will be award to the person with the closest answer. There is some mathematical way of making a fairly accurate guess. Is the prize worth the trouble of revisiting some old high school formulas?
Some geometry students might enjoy the Internet Math Challenge from the University of Idaho. The problem involves pretending the piece of candy is a perfect cone and reconfiguring its color’s dimensions. Then again, maybe “enjoy” is too strong a word.
Math and candy corn unite in the world of fiction. Check out the books Who Brought the Candy Corn? by Judy Ann Brown and The Candy Corn Contest by Patricia Reilly Giff for some interesting reading as well as exercises in logic.
Talk about brain food! Perhaps candy corn will become the poster candy for educators everywhere. Not likely. But, hopefully, adding a little tasteful fun to a math lesson may encourage thinking and learning. It might also give the old excuse “the dog ate my homework” a little more credence.

DO YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN DO IT?
You probably believe that you can not achieve success because the country that you come from like my own country does not give any body the opportunity to achieve success without one working for upwards of 12 to 15 hours a day and getting only a peanut at the end of the month as salary. Or, you are above 60 years old and can no more afford to be running from place to place as an Employee carrying out one function or the other as an engineer, an accountant, a sales man or even a cook only to end up at the end of the month with a salary that can not adequately take care of your own needs not to talk of the needs of your wife and six children(here in my part of the world this is just the average number of children in a family). Do not think at all about the normal extended families that plague every adult in this part of the world.
But my friend, I have coincidentally come across how your life can change with only a little hard work and determination, putting in one or two hours of work per day. And what is that Magic Wand that can change your life for the better? IT IS INTERNET MARKETING. “Internet marketing?” you ask. How can I as an Engineer, an Accountant or even a retired Medical Doctor with no knowledge of marketing and no good knowledge of computer software application achieve such a fit?
I tell you, not to worry!! I had the same problem two months ago but today I do not only have a very good knowledge of Internet Marketing and the use of some very interesting application software but can even design and produce Websites. And how did I do that?
One day, I was browsing and I came across this free Course on Internet Marketing. This course teaches you the basics of Internet Marketing by using advanced concepts. Knowledge that would have taken you some years to acquire you get within 12 hours. You are taken through topics like Philosophy, ‘Traffic Strategies”, ‘Business Mode Flowcharts’, “Internet Payment Processing”, ‘Idea Generating’ and “Types of Products to Sell”.
To crown it all, the course teaches you how to create your own Website. People erroneously believe, that those who are into Internet Marketing have the Knowledge of how to create Websites. For you to be a successful Internet Marketer, you must have your own website. And as a Beginner in Internet Marketing one must have ones own Website for it is only so, that your Products can get to the consciousness of your target Customers quickly and directly. It is therefore obvious that, as a poor Beginner like myself, the only way you can avoid dishing out money that you do not have to Website Designers and Creators is by knowing how to design and create Websites by yourself.
In oder to make this course understandable to everybody the Author even started the Website creation tutorial by taking the students through the basics of Word Processing in computer Application softwares.
After teaching you how to create your web pages, he goes ahead to show you how to link the pages to one another and to any other page, word or even graphics in another website. From there he goes further to teach you how to Upload you Website into the Internet through Domain Name finding and registering as well as Website Hosting. He even recommends free Internet Application Software you can download, very good and cheap Domain Name sites and very reliable Website Hosting Site.
This course is simply fantastic, it is wonderful. You can not imagine the amount of knowledge I have acquired through this course. Man, this is a “Gold Mine” and it is just there for you to grab it. If I can do it, you too can.

What is Public Relations
The difference between Public Relations PR and Advertising is simple, you pay for Advertising. The definition of Public Relations is ‘Public Relations practice is the planned and sustained effort to establish and maintain goodwill and mutual understanding between an organization and its publics.
Public relations is the more difficult “free” version of advertising. It turns out it’s not free after all, however paying for advertising allows you to say what ever you want, public relations is different, this is when others say what they want about you.
When you are high in the search results for a search phrase, the vast majority assume you got there because the “public” put you there. This is not far from exactly why your site was in the result to begin with. Being listed on the top of a search that is relevant to your site is becoming one of the most sought after forms of Public Relations. Those who see your site on top assume you are the leader in your industry, that assumption is (and has always been) the direct result of good Public Relations work.
A Good Technical Public Relations Firm has resources in the industry and has professionals with experience in the agency. These Public relations tools and experience drives your company’s profits forward when a prospect turns to you (the industry leader) for answers and advise. You provide them with the answers by way of your products or your services, or both.
Public Relations may not be focused on promoting products or services, but this is where the new media comes in. The new media that is constantly being “re-understood” everyday is the internet. With it comes many “public” opinions, those opinions are available to all and when those opinions are negative you would normally put forth “Public Relations” efforts to maintain the goodwill. When a complaint or a competitor comes up before your site on the internet, it’s time to begin a technical Public Relations campaign. It’s also very likely a sign that other PR Media Campaigns should begin. The internet is a sign of how the public views your company, or (in many cases) how it does not view your company. If you do not show up in the search results, an effort must be made to allow the public to begin forming opinions.
