After dominating the airwaves worldwide with her 2006 hit, “Hips Don’t Lie,” Colombian superstar Shakira is now looking to translate that success to dance floors with Shakira She Wolf. The new 12-track LP explores new territory for the artist, fixating around an electronic dance vibe while maintaining hints of Shakira’s signature fusion of Middle Eastern and Latin sounds. Throw Shakira’s witty lyrics into the mix, and you get pure pop perfection: She Wolf is loaded with club bangers and radio-ready hits.
In order to make a smooth transition from the pop-rock sound of 2005’s Oral Fixation, Vol. 2 to the world of electronic music in She Wolf, Shakira enlisted hit-making talent like The Neptunes and John Hill (Santogold), to produce a bulk of the tracks, and many of these are among She Wolf’s best.
Among the key cuts of Wolf is the Hill-produced “Mon Amour,” a new-wave kiss-off track that recalls the ethereal harmonies of The Beach Boys and layers hand claps, synthesizers and loud guitars, which makes cursing an ex-boyfriend all the sweeter.
Another standout track is The Neptunes-produced “Did It Again,” which has Shakira lamenting about dating douchebags over the ambient sound of an accordion layered over snare drums and more synthesizers. The track delivers Shakira’s most fun lyrics to date, as she sighs, “You were so full of yourself / but damn were you cute as well.”
The album also has its fair share of disco-tinged tracks, with the Crystal Castles-inspired “Men in This Town,” which starts off with only a guitar that is later consumed by glittering synthesizers equipped with a hook declaring Shakira to be so “fresh and clean.” John Hill keeps the booty-shaking tracks coming, and the retro-sounding titular track has a baseline that sounds as if it were ripped from a track playing in Studio 54 during the ’70s.
The momentum slows down on the Amanda Ghost-produced “Gypsy,” which seems like an out-of-place track left over from the Fixation sessions, more stripped down than electronic.

CD and DVD Replication
Replication is mostly a mechanical way of producing the disc. When you buy software , music or films from a shop this is the process they will have been produced. This method is best used for runs over a 1000 pieces and can run in to the millions.
The Process - First off the data is burnt by a laser onto a glass plate that is coated with a photosensitive material, you will often hear the phrase ‘glass master’ this is the first stage in the process. Once the glass master is finished a metal stamper is developed via electrolysis from the plate, it physically has a track with pits in that eventually the laser in the player will read when the disc is finished.
Once the stamper is made the glass plate is recycled for use in the making of different stampers. The stamper is then deposited into an injection moulding machine and the image is physically pressed into molten optical grade polycarbonate disc under a pressure of circa 30 tons. You could compare this to the way vinyl records are made but on a smaller disc. The disc then is taken out of the mould and allowed to cool in a controlled environment so that it will not deform. If you were to look at the disc now you would see a clear piece of plastic and you would just be able to make out the data that had been pressed into it. This is so along that if you were to rub your finger across the disc it would be entirely destroyed. The next stage is to construct a reflective layer that the laser in the player can use, this process is spluttering. The disc enters a vacuum chamber that has an aluminum plate at the top and a magnet at the bottom, a puff of argon gas is disbursed and an electrical charge is applied this transforms the surface of the aluminum to atomize and a plasma is formed. This is then drawn down onto the disc buy the magnet. The disc exits the chamber and is coated with a UV varnish to protect the disc and stopping the aluminum from oxidizing. The disc is then ready to be printed and packaged. The lead-time in producing a disc this way is normally 10 to 12 working days.

DVD Duplication is fitting for low volume with quick results. It is the process of duplicating data on an existing disc known as a DVD or Digital Versatile Disc. It is like the process to the duplication of a 3.5 diskette. Video and audio cassette. In all examples, you are duplicating data onto a pre-existing disc. In DVD replication, the process begins with a pre-made disc that is qualified to receive recorded data.
The features of DVD duplication methods include a turn-around time of three to five business days. The printing options can be thermal, digital, or by photo finish. The type of media can either be a CD or a DVD.
Advantages include fast lead time since there is no need for longer machine set-up times or delays in glass mastering. DVD duplication is paramount for short run requirements needing quick lead time. It also proves cheaper in the long run considering there are no costs for glass mastering, costs for smaller quantity runs may be more reasonably priced. Because of the hi-tech printing equipment, a good quality four-color process printing is available for the DVD packaging. Since the printing is done right from the electronic files, there is no need no film costs to worry about.
A few companies offer a complete line of DVD replication services that includes pre-mastering and verification, mastering, printing for manuals and booklets, label printing, and packaging.
A great number of services is available for all your DVD duplication needs. You just have to choose what is right for you and your financial plan.
